Yes, Suzanna, There is Still Racism

Well, Elle magazine, I hope appropriate disciplinary action is being taken on the article regarding the “chic”-ness of African Americans.  In case you missed it, French Elle published an article which blatantly stated that blacks only dressed in street clothes (translation; hip-hop) until the Obamas entered office to provide a chic option of “white codes”.  Really?  Maybe the writer should take a state-side visit before writing on things she obviously has NO knowledge of.

Doesn’t French Elle have editors?  How could any competent editor allow this idiocy to be printed?  Professional journalism requires fact-checking and research before just taking to a keyboard and publishing crap.  This writer is a glaring example of why print media is taking a hit.  Those who want to read information want correct, reliable facts.  Otherwise, we can take a visit to the library and check out a fiction novel.

Please, editors worldwide, take note.  Don’t let this happen again.  Articles such as this jeopardize the entire journalistic industry.

Fight ignorance.
